Job Description

As the 4BC Drive Executive Producer, you will be responsible for driving the success and growth of 4BC’s flagship programme. You will manage the Drive team to produce and broadcast an entertaining and informative programme that delivers high quality and breaking news to the Brisbane audience. 

Day to day you will:

  • Work closely with the presenter to build and execute the breakfast programme on a daily basis

  • Work closely with the Station Manager to execute the programme’s growth strategy.

  • Manage the production team and their daily workloads

  • Oversee programme’s social media content and liaise closely with the digital team to grow the programme’s audience

  • Work closely with the promotions and partnerships department on promotional opportunities for the programme

  • Identify and secure publicity opportunities for the programme 

  • Maintain an up to date contacts book 

  • Liaise with key stakeholders within the Brisbane market to continue to drive content opportunities for the programme 

  • Liaise with other 4BC teams to ensure station content continuity and identify content opportunities within the station

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring:

  • At least two - three years experience in a similar role

  • Strong background in radio content creation 

  • Knowledge and understanding of ACMA broadcasting regulations 

  • Knowledge of broadcast and defamation law

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • People management experience

  • Leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to network with multiple key stakeholders

  • Demonstrated network of contacts and sources 

  • Competency in using audio editing software

Desirable skills: 

  • Journalism Degree

  • At least five years experience in the radio industry
